Without the car showrooms Futura Park would be very empty. Ipswich has long been happy to accept whatever it can passively receive, which isn't the best approach for planning, but it is the only way when the borough isn't bold, ambitious and enthusiastic enough.
The "Wine Rack" was supposed to have allocation for affordable housing but this has been dropped for a vanity Dubai-like luxury penthouse apartments, all with £20m of public funds.
