The proposal to request non-residential developments of 1000 sq. m floor space or more to include facilities for employees is to be applauded. The NHS is looking at preventative measures to reduce the number of people requiring medical help and initiatives like this will help to promote health and wellbeing.

The Company again offers its general support to the objectives of the policy, but considers that, in order to be found sound, it needs to be more explicit in recognising that, on higher density, previously developed sites in the IP-One Area, and particularly on the Waterfront, it will not be possible to make full provision for open space in accordance with the Council’s standards.
