The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) have no specific comments but draw attention to their work. Currently there is no MMO plan for the area south of Felixstowe and in the meantime local authorities are advised to refer to the Marine Policy Statement for guidance on any planning activity involving a coastline or tidal river. The MMO suggests reference is made in planning documents to their advice that early consultation with the MMO is made where any work requiring consideration under the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007 are to be undertaken.
