ABP welcomes IBC's policy on tall buildings consistent with its desire to secure high density development in the town centre and Waterfront (para 6.20 and Policy DM22). As presently drafted, the policy and supporting text do not make it sufficiently clear whether the Island Site is considered appropriate for tall buildings, or whether tall buildings in this location would be appropriate where they meet the criteria of Policy DM15 and where development viability justifies it. ABP requests clarification on this point.
