The provision of new open space must comply with the relevant SBD guidance, in particular reference to having clear boundaries between public and private spaces, not to immediately abut residential areas, to avoid locating such facilities at the rear of dwellings, to ensure that small children's play areas can be made secure at night and to ensure that the provision of any informal spaces aimed at young people is only done following formal consultation with the DOCO;
