The proposal would insensify an existing concentration of traveller sites in west Ipswich. The site is sufficiently large that more pitches could be added in the future. Use of the site would erode the gap between Ipswich and Bramford. Housing on the site has already been refused due to proximity to the A14. Bramford Road is busy and access to the site has poor visibility. Few other sites have been considered.
