Representation Summary:

The green is an important recreational area for the residents of Lavenaam Road and Kelly Roads, particularly children who can play close to their homes and therefore under supervision. The two roads already suffer traffic congestion due to a lack of off-road parking. The proposal would increase traffic flows increasing the risk of accidents and injury. A building site could increase crime and greater density of housing might have the same effect. Existing drainage and sewage problems would worsen. The nearby former bacon factory site might offer a better alternative for housing development.
