Legally compliant? Yes

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Not specified

Representation Summary:

Such a development:
1. Will change the entire character of the area.
2. Will overlook existing properties invading privacy.
3. Will cause a significant loss of light for nearby properties.
4. Will cause inevitable traffic congestion and road safety issues.
5. Parked cars will make it more difficult to get emergency services through.
6. Is on a fine line between town planning and town cramming - especially with Elton park potential 105 new houses.
Have the following factors been considered during the development period:
1. Noise pollution to existing household?
2. Dust pollution to existing households?
3. Access to the site and the health and safety issues this will entail?

Such a development:

1. Will change the entire character of the area.

* The green open space is currently enjoyed by the local community for various activities many of which bring the community together. It opens up what would otherwise be a very dense area.

* The few existing tress on the land will most likely be pulled down

2. Will inevitably overlook existing properties invading privacy of residents
3. Will cause a significant loss of light for nearby properties
4. 4. Will cause inevitable traffic congestion and road safety issues at peak times in what will become a very densely populated area
5. More parked cars on the roads will make it even more difficult to get emergency services through.
6. Is on a fine line between town planning and town cramming - with Elton park potential 105 new houses is there really a need to cram more in here?

If the site were to be built on have the following factors been considered

1. Noise pollution to existing household
2. Dust pollution to existing households
3. Access to the site and the health and safety issues this will entail

Please note below I have ticked yes "legally compliant" - I presume it would be but i don't know for sure I had to tick something though.

Representation Summary:

The proposal would result in increased traffic, noise and light pollution. Lavenham and Kelly Roads are already 'overparked' and emergency vehicles have difficulty gaining access. Existing allocated car parking spaces are already used by non-residents not authorised to park in them. Additionally the view across the green would be lost as well as its value as a recreational facility. The value of adjacent properties would also be affected.

Representation Summary:

The green is an important recreational area for the residents of Lavenaam Road and Kelly Roads, particularly children who can play close to their homes and therefore under supervision. The two roads already suffer traffic congestion due to a lack of off-road parking. The proposal would increase traffic flows increasing the risk of accidents and injury. A building site could increase crime and greater density of housing might have the same effect. Existing drainage and sewage problems would worsen. The nearby former bacon factory site might offer a better alternative for housing development.

Representation Summary:

The proposal would create traffic congestion and noise in an already congested area. The green provides a play area for young people which should not be lost and is an important place for the community, helping with young people's social and personal development.
