Although this area does not contain any designated heritage assets, it is situated between two conservation areas (Central & Burlington) and near several listed buildings (e.g. St Matthews Church Grade II*, Willis Building Grade I). Part of the site also lies in an area of archaeological importance. There is currently no reference to the historic environment in the development principles and supporting text, which needs addressing. See also comments on site IP040.
