Where is the policy for growing jobs in Ipswich and regenerating the town centre? Otherwise the residents of proposed new homes will have to look outside Ipswich for work which is not of any sustainable benefit to Ipswich. Job creation of between 5,500 (a conservative estimate assuming one worker per property) and 21,000 have to be found for these proposals to have any chance of success and avoid the future problem of a decaying and under-populated development on the Northern Fringe and elsewhere in Ipswich.
